Apostasy - Rhetorical Argument
by Simon Morley ini was musing on this for several weeks now and wanted to share it with you.. if a person who has no religious affiliation (apart from a love of god) converted to a jw they would be welcomed by their new jw community and likely rejected (albeit small) by some of their family.
if that person now a jw converted to islam and became a muslim, (but still loved god) they would be welcomed by their new islamic community and penalized (d/f) by their former jw community.
if now that same person (still loving god) stopped being a muslim and went back to being a jw they would be welcomed back by their jw community but penalized (possible death threats) by their former islamic community.

I was musing on this for several weeks now and wanted to share it with you.
If a person who has no religious affiliation (apart from a love of God) converted to a JW they would be welcomed by their new JW community and likely rejected (albeit small) by some of their family. If that person now a JW converted to Islam and became a Muslim, (but still loved God) they would be welcomed by their new Islamic community and penalized (D/F) by their former JW community. If now that same person (still loving God) stopped being a Muslim and went back to being a JW they would be welcomed back by their JW community but penalized (possible death threats) by their former Islamic community. After some time the person decides to fade from the JW organization and goes back to having no religious affiliation apart from, yes you guessed it – loving God.
So, under which religious organization will that person be judged by God (whom this person still loves) as in both cases that person is an apostate in the eyes of each religion? Both the Bible and the Quran speak of those who reject faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of faith, never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have (of set purpose) gone astray and are not forgiven – for JW’s it is an unforgivable sin for Muslims the person is deserving of death.
One cannot (not using the word in the pejorative) be an apostate twice – even though I do not consider myself an apostate – but some of my family do. It does not matter – what does matter is the act of deconversion that sets the individual, alone and distinct to be accountable directly to God and not an organization. The answer would logically indicate that God simply does not have religious organizations as all cannot claim to be the true religion. Organized religion is anathema to God’s nature – no organization should take away the individuals freedom of choice and free will and be solely accountable.

by King Solomon inyou know what i'm talking about: the trite, often-repeated phrases that convey the person offering the prayer has drawn a mental blank, and utters these words while their brain desperately searches for the next cliche', so they can conclude the ritual with the required tag, "in jesus' name we pray".... (is that like the postage stamp?).
ok, i'll kick this one off, and take the most obvious:.

I came to hate the long winded prayers late on Sunday afternoon..."thank you for the fins that the fish have...the tiny beaks of the chaffinch....the sun, moon, stars, and especially the very footstool of your divine feet - our home in your celestial city - our dear earth.....we are blessed with being in your presence today, at the end of this fine spirtual banquet, which started with such timely reminders on Friday of how we need to (insert DC theme here)....."
ARRRRGHHHH!!! I need to get to Swiss Chalet before all these other hungry mouths get there before me and my stomach thinks my throat has been cut!!!!
Last prayer on the Sunday at the DC was one long clichefest.

that morning only one male was present during the morning study, however that brother forgot his tie.
under instruction from the slave, any brother not properly dressed for a meeting is not to have any congregation priviledges (hold mics, talk, attendent, magazines, reading).

I had a situation while going over a rehearsal for a DC part that the CO asked how many studded earrings my demo sister had in each ear. I told him I had no clue as I don't look that closely at sisters ears. He advised me to check and make sure it was no more than two per ear as three was a sign of rebelliousness.
This is the same CO who's BIL that sits with him at the DC is a leering, lecherous elder who 'undresses' (my daughters words) every sister going up and down the stairs from his vantage point sitting on the end of the aisle on the primary washroom path. all of this going on and clearly obvious to the dick of a CO, his sister who is married to this twerp and the CO's wife. I did not check as I figured from the seats in the arena it would be hard to check how many earrings were in each ear.
